Description

This was an interesting weather event that doesn't happen often here. Fog from the river spreading up and out about 10 miles in every direction. Thanks to my friend for the heads up or I would've missed it. :)

Camera: Aiptek DV4500.

Post processing: Avisynth Deen denoiser/Vdub. Small combinations of transform, color balance, levels, clone stamp, and smudge.

Enjoy the view!

Wow! You did a great job cleaning this up. I knew it was salvageable. Can you post a larger version? I'll give you 10 because the photo is beautiful and the post-prcessing work is superb.

Can you tell me what Avisynth Deen denoiser/Vdub is?

Abstractor: I will link it, I just couldn't fit the whole thing on here and there's a few things I want to try and get rid of. (hellish rainbowing going on in some places) Larger version now available

Dizzi: I took about 6 shots.

Cinammon: I hope you get nominated sometime soon :)

emarts: Avisynth is a free and powerful scriptwriting tool that's mainly used for video editing. I wrote a script to process the images, then loaded them up into VirtualDub (another video editing/processing program). Took care of a lot.

Update: I just got the analog prints back and they blow the digital photos out of the water. Going to find a high quality A/D converter and hopefully we'll get a really nice, LARGE high quality version up in the next few weeks.

So weeks turned into months...still working on that. I might just go up there again this winter and take it with my newest digital beauty...
